<note>In order to detect an object (vessels or submarine) by submarine is needed a picture of underwater sound propagation emitted by an object that approaching the actual conditions. Joseph Warren Horton (1959) stated that the most influential factors in the depiction of underwater sound propagation are the profile of underwater sound velocity and attenuation beam power or transmisson Loss (TL). This study simulated emission of sound waves in a single pass through the four points (World Ocean Atlas 2001 data station). Methods for obtaining the pattern of sound propagation is determining the ray by calculating the initial price using ODV version 4.6.2 and ODE45 function in the software MATLAB R2013a version (8.1.0.604), followed by calculate TL based on ray diagrams generated before. The results of the analysis showed that the shadow areas that allow for submarines to hide is 6,000-12,000 m from the sound source (World Ocean Atlas 2001 data station) at a depth of 100-500 m, the average total attenuation (loss) experienced by simulating up to 20,000 m is 113,38 dB relative 1 μPa with a standard deviation of 9.57 and the distance is a variables that most influence on the total transmission loss.</note>
